One of the things I hate most in storytelling is when two characters completely ignore their surrounding environment. Like, seriously, who would have sex in the air while your friends and your mom are watching?? Austen did the same thing earlier too, when Romeo and Juliet (I forget their actual names) were professing their undying love for each other through the window, and Juliet’s grandma was RIGHT THERE listening to it all. I was like, GURL. THERE ARE BOUNDARIES.
